The fundraising department have been battling the snow and rain to plan for an exciting year ahead in 2010. The 7th of February will see the second annual DAB-Bowl, a charity American Football Match at the University of Derby. We have many participants already signed up to run the Kilomathon, Derby 10k and fun-run, and the aaa military challenge in the Spring.  April should see a midnight abseil from Derby’s tallest building, the new Jurys Inns building. The annual Ey up mi duck race is starting its build up with a new location at the Cathedral Green. Two teams have already signed up for the Three Peaks challenge attempting to climb Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowden.

We have collections confirmed around Derbyshire throughout February, March, April and May. Our next firewalk at the University is penned in for May 4th. Whilst we’re still on the look out for new locations for our sited collection boxes, and anyone who can collect some money at home with our members boxes. Finally, we are launching DAB sweets for 2010 and are looking for offices and stores where we can host the honesty boxes.
