DAB has been awarded £7,804 by Comic Relief to recruit and train ten volunteers to support people with a visual impairment access sports and leisure activities. Specialist training will be provided through the scheme to provide one on one support to DAB’s service users.

Volunteers will be trained by DAB’s members to provide emotional and practical support, whilst accompanying and taking part in the service users chosen activities.

The Comic Relief application has been administered by The Derbyshire Community Foundation who has previously supported DAB by funding our website.
