Telephone befriending

What you will do:

Contact a visually impaired person, usually on a weekly basis for friendly conversation. There are normally around six to eight people to contact each week per volunteer.

Each call can last from a few minutes to 30 minutes and it is important that you maintain confidentiality.

Skills you will need to have:

Good communication skills, patience, the ability to listen and to have a sense of humour, the ability to complete record sheets.
