Visually imapired people and their carers are invited to attend the Braille Chess Association’s AGM at the Hallmark Hotel from Friday evening 5th March until Sunday afternoon 7th March. This past week DAB have been playing along with BBC Radio Derby and their regular Ed to Head challenge. Each week a community group faces five questions each day on general and local knowledge. At the start of the week four teams out of 26 were joint top of the table with 22 points each. Sunday 7th of February saw the second annual DAB Bowl held at the University of Derby. The event showcases American Football and the community work of the Derby Braves American Football Team, who have supported DAB since 2008.
